Acknowledgment of Risks
I, the undersigned participant, acknowledge that participation in the Grace Community Church South Bay Women's Retreat involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:
• Physical injury, illness, or death due to physical activities (e.g., hiking, swimming), uneven terrain, weather conditions, or equipment use.
• Emotional or mental distress from workshops, or group discussions
• Property damage or loss to personal belongings.
• Risks related to travel, food, or accommodations.
• Potential exposure to contagious illnesses, including but not limited to COVID-19, despite precautions.

I understand these risks may arise from my own actions, the actions or inactions of others, or the negligence of the organizers, and I voluntarily choose to participate.

Assumption of Risk
I voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risks of injury, illness, death, property damage, or loss that may result from my participation in the retreat, whether caused by my own actions, the actions of others, or unforeseen circumstances.

Release and Waiver of Liability
In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Grace Community Church South Bay Women's Retreat, I, on behalf of myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, successors, and assigns, hereby release, waive, and forever discharge Grace Community Church South Bay, its employees, agents, volunteers,
representatives, and affiliates (collectively, “the Releasees”) from any and all claims, demands, actions, or liabilities of any kind, including but not limited to personal injury, illness, death, property damage, or loss, arising out of or related to my participation in the retreat, whether caused by the negligence of the Releasees or otherwise.

Medical Responsibility
• I warrant that I am physically and mentally fit to participate in the retreat activities and have no medical conditions that would prevent my full participation.
• I agree to consult a physician prior to attending if I have any concerns about my health or ability to participate.
• I understand that the Releasees are not qualified to diagnose, treat, or manage medical or mental health conditions, and the retreat is not a substitute for professional medical care.
• If I experience pain or discomfort during the retreat, I will modify activities as needed and will not hold the Releasees responsible.
• I consent to receive emergency medical treatment if deemed necessary and understand that I am solely responsible for any costs associated with such treatment.

Media Release
I grant Grace Community Church South Bay permission to use photographs, videos, or other media of me taken during the retreat for promotional, advertising, or other purposes, without compensation.

Behavioral Expectations
I agree to:
• Follow all instructions and guidelines provided by the organizers and staff.
• Respect the safety and well-being of myself and others.
• Comply with all applicable laws and retreat policies.
• Refrain from actions that could cause harm, such as improper use of equipment or unsafe behavior.

Governing Law
This waiver shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal action
arising from this waiver shall be brought in the courts of Los Angeles County, California.
